Dole is recalling more salad kits for undeclared allergens. The most recent recall is for their Endless Summer Salad Kit. According to the FDA announcement, the kits may contain fish and egg that isn’t listed on the packaging. The recall notice states that the dressing and topping kit included in the package should have been placed into a different product where the allergens would have been listed. Dole states that no allergic reactions have been reported so far, however people who have an allergy to fish or eggs may have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. The impacted products were distributed in AZ, CA, CO, IA, ID, IL, KS, MN, MS, ND, OK, OR, PA, TX, UT, WA, and WI. Consumers are advised to check product they have in their homes and discard any product matching the production description, UPC codes, product lot code and Best if Used by Date.
Dole recently recalled their Sesame Asian Chopped Salad kit for inserting the wrong dressing and topping kit in those packages also. Those kits were distributed in AK, CA, ID, KS, MO, OK, OR, TX AND UT.
Anyone who has any of these products in their refrigerators should discard it immediately if they have an allergy to fish or egg products. Retailers and consumers with questions may call the Dole Consumer Center at 1-800-356-3111, which is open 24 hours a day.
