What does the chemicals test look for?
We test for thousands of substances including herbicides, pesticides, solvents, food coloring and additives, cleaning products, BPA, antifreeze, and fracking chemicals. Click here for more detail.
What do the drug tests look for?
We have a variety of hair drug testing options. We can test for hundreds of prescription, over the counter, and illegal drugs with our standard Drug Test. This includes amphetamines, antihistamines, barbiturates, cough syrups, marijuana, opiates, muscle relaxants, and more. Click here for more detail. The Date Rape test adds GHB to the standard drug test panel.
The THC and CBD test is ONLY for these two indicators of marijuana use.
The Synthetic Drug test looks for a variety of "designer" drugs and can be ordered as a comprehensive panel, or for the synthetic cannabinoids (Spice) or synthetic cathinones (Bath Salts) only.
Call 800-908-9117 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are looking for something specific you don't see here.
What if my hair has been colored, bleached or permed?
Chemicals treatments to the hair may affect some of the metals testing as some hair colors contain metals.
Generally, hair treatments do not affect the ability to test for drugs or chemicals. Hair treatments can cause damage to the hair which can decrease the amount of drug or chemical in the hair, but normally does not remove it entirely.
All the hair is cleaned before testing is done to remove any external chemicals or contaminants.
How long should I wait to test my hair?
It takes 2-3 weeks for drugs or chemicals to move into the hair, then for the hair to grow out enough to be able to cut for testing. For the Date Rape Panel we ask that you wait at least three to four weeks before sampling the hair.
Hair grows about 1/2" per month, so hair that is long enough can be cut to test a specific point in time.
Body hair will hold evidence of drugs or chemicals for approximately the last 6 months of time.
Can My Results Be Used in Court?
Chain of custody refers to the paperwork trail documenting the way a sample is collected and handled throughout the entire testing process. Since you will be collecting the samples yourself and submitting them privately, you will not have a strict chain of custody. Because of this, your results will be labeled "for clinical use only, not for forensic purposes". Generally speaking, for results to have a strict chain of custody, the samples must be collected by an unrelated third party such as a hospital, clinic, ME’s office, funeral director, law enforcement, etc. For obvious reasons this rigorous identification and handling procedure is not always going to be possible. Courts and legal official know this, and the weight the results will be given is up to the agency.
What Our Customers Say
Getting my hair tested was the best thing I ever did. I’d been so sick and didn’t know why. I don’t take drugs and am very into good food and exercise. My test showed up with antihistamines and caffeine-stuff I never touch. My now ex-girlfriend was putting them in my shakes to “make me feel better”. I couldn’t believe she would do that to me…..
